Free?

Most enquiries can be answered in 5 or 10 minutes. We guarantee you 15 minutes of free time on each enquiry. We choose this figure so that we can not only deal with your question but we can also look after as many callers as possible.

If your enquiry is longer or more complex, we may give you more time even than this.

One thing that you can be sure of though is that we will not start charging as soon as the free time is up. Rather, if more time and work is needed, we will give you a price quote and you will be free to “shop around”.

You will never be liable to us for any fees unless and until we have given you a fee quote and you have agreed to it.

We try hard to answer any legal enquiries that you put to us over the helpline. Obviously we are making no charge for the answers that we give, and we are basing our answers solely on the brief information that you have given to us over the phone rather than us having sight of all information and documents.

For both of these reasons, you cannot formally rely on the answers that we give to you. If you would prefer formal legal advice on which you can rely and in respect of which you could bring a legal claim against us if our advice is wrong, then you should ask us to prepare a more formal advice to you, agree a fee with us for that work, and you should then provide us with a full narrative of events and full detail, together with copies of all relevant documents. We will then, in return for the fee payable, prepare an advice for you that you can legally rely on.
